Paleo Brownie Skillet for Two

This fudgy paleo brownie skillet for two (or one) is extra chocolate-y and a perfect small batch dessert to make!

Equipment

  • 5 inch round pan/skillet

Ingredients
  

  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup almond flour
  • 3 tbsp cacao powder sub cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tbsp dark chocolate chips use paleo brand if keeping paleo

Optional Add-ins

  • 2 tbsp strawberry jam
  • fresh strawberries
  • powdered sugar use paleo brand if keeping paleo

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F
  • Whisk together the egg, maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla and baking soda
  • Mix in the almond flour and cacao powder until you get a smooth batter
  • Fold in chocolate chips and pour into a greased mini skillet/pan
  • If adding the strawberry jam, add it in different spots across the top of the brownie batter and swirl throughout the top
  • Bake at 350°F for 13-15 minutes. Check with a toothpick and times may vary, depending on whether you want a more fudgy brownie!
  • Top with fresh cut strawberries, powdered sugar or whatever else you would like
