When it comes to prepping food for the work week again, air fryer lemon pepper chicken tenders are the perfect spring protein source to make. This week I made the chicken in the air fryer while I had the sweet potatoes and broccoli roasting in the oven, which was definitely time advantageous! I know that the sound of meal or food prepping can sound quite daunting and taxing but in reality, it can be so easy! It often takes me less than 2 hours from start to finish with clean up. But even more importantly, it saves me a lot more time during the week.
These chicken tenders specifically spoke to me because we are in the abundance of lemon season. With spring just around the corner, the days getting longer and the birds chirping in the morning, I cannot help but crave all the delicious spring time dishes. Lemon is one of my favorite flavor additions for savory meals, as it really helps to brighten up a dish and make it pop.
