These spicy and hot harissa beef burgers have been on repeat all summer long. Because I will admit, I have found a new obsession this summer: harissa spiced everything⦠It is the heat that you need in your life.

No joke, I have been loving the harissa paste from Trader Joeβs. I first tried harissa at a Cava location in Philadelphia and fell in loveβ¦ I literally got it again the next day for lunch.
These spicy and harissa beef burgers pack a subtle punch from the harissa and trust me, a little will go a long way when mixing it with the beef.
Need a new cooking technique to learn?
Grilling is a new task I plan on perfecting this summer. In the past Iβve left that task up to the guys. This year? This chick is taking over! (just kiddingβ¦ Iβll still leave some the shifts to the boys). But seriously, I love mastering all kinds of cooking and baking skills so that I can whip up anything in the kitchen. Call me the ask Bobby Flay, I dare you.
SO⦠what do you need to make these?
- ground beef: you can substitute another meat such as chicken or turkey, however if you go too lean on those the burgers may be drier. Add a little bit of oil, such as olive oil or melted ghee, to bring in more moisture.
- harissa paste: I got mine at Trader Joeβs but you could either make your own or find another retailer that sells it
- smoked paprika: I love this spice and it adds the perfect touch to the harissa paste
- SIDES: I love crispy roasted potato wedges and a massaged kale salad but feel free to pair with whatever you want!
