Who doesn’t love guacamole, am I right? I first made this recipe in college for a “How-To” speech in a public speaking course. I made the guacamole in front of the class and served it afterwards. On that day I was told that I would “make a killing” if I sold this to college students around campus and here we are today – sharing that glorious recipe still!
It’s all about the dippers:
I recently discovered the brand Pop Bitties and their chips. They are light and crunchy with slightly raised edges, making them the perfect dippers for this easy homemade guacamole recipe. I also love the ingredients in these chips – they are made from whole grain sorghum, brown rice, quinoa and chia. While I love a good old corn chip, I truly love these and how nutrient dense they are without any trans fat or artificial ingredients. Whole grain sorghum, the leading ingredient, is a superfood that is easily digestible and packed with magnesium, potassium, iron, protein, vitamins B and E, fiber, omega-3s and antioxidants. Even better, they use all eco-friendly ingredients. Sorghum is as gentle on the Earth as it is for our bodies, and Pop Bitties only uses eco-responsible U.S. farmers as their source of sorghum.
Here are the flavors of Pop Bitties Chips that I used:
- Pink Himalayan Salt
- Hickory Barbeque
- Vegan Sour Cream & Onion (you have to try with guacamole!)
SO… what will you need to make the easiest homemade guacamole!?
- Avocados
- Jalapeno
- Red Onion
- Roma Tomato
- Cilantro
- Lime
- Cumin
- Garlic Powder
- Salt
- Dippers of choice!
What are the best dippers?
- Pop Bitties Chips
- Sliced bell peppers
- Baby carrots
- Celery
- Pretzels
How to long does this last?
Store guacamole in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. If there is a slight dull green film on the top, scrape it off the top and you are good to go! These color is due to oxidation.
